HTC Desire is a high end smart phone available in Indian since a month or so. After the dual SIM smart phone rumours of Samsung Galaxy S III variant, it’s clear that Samsung is eyeing to take dual SIM competition to the high-end devices as well. Today HTC has taken a step forward than Samsung by introducing HTC Desire VC to compete with high end dual SIM smart phones.Certainly with the launch of HTC Desire V, the dual SIM Android smart phone market has changed drastically. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos, one time best dual SIM smart phone in the Android line has started facing competition with HTC Desire V.
Going through the specifications of HTC Desire VC, it has same specifications as that of Desire V and only difference comes in the dual SIM capabilities. Desire V is with GSM + GSM dual SIM support but Desire VC is with dual CDMA + GSM support while not dual active SIM capabilities. In Desire VC one slot supports CDMA providing EVDO Rev A speed and another slot supports GSM/GPRS with EDGE only, not even 3G.
HTC Desire V is with 4 inches touchscreen display providing a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and has 1 Ghz single core processor. It has the latest version of Sense 4 and includes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with addition of 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal memory and 32 GB micro SD card support. This phone includes 1650 mAh battery and 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and LED flash with F 2.8 aperture and 34 mm lens.
